It is encouraged to submit a request to Search Operations to create, connect, and sync Microsoft Advertising account with Search Ads 360 (SA3).  However, if you wish to do it yourself using your personal credentials, follow directions below.  Once completed, you are required to inform Search Operations so that its connection can be updated to our API-designated credentials.

1. Login to SA3 using your personal credential.

2. Navigate to the SA3 network and advertiser that you want to connect your Microsoft Advertising account.

3. Click ENGINE ACCOUNTS sub-tab.

4. Click New button drop down.

5. Select Microsoft Advertising.

6. Enter your Account name.

  • You can either match the Microsoft Advertising account name or pick a desired account name to be seen inside SA3.  Note, we have the option to edit this at any given time.

7. Select your Launch date.

  • Launch date is arbitrary and it's for reporting purposes only.  But try to pick an accurate start date.

8. Enter your Microsoft account number.

  • Microsoft Advertising account number can be found when you login to their UI dashboard and it must be an 8-letter alpha-numeric identifier with capital letters, such as X789ABCD.

9. Click AUTHORIZE button.

  • A pop-up will appear to enter your credentials.  Once you enter your credentials, approve the connection.

10. Update the Sync schedule details to Daily 10:00 PM with your desired time zone.

  • This schedule setting does not dictate when SA3 will sync up with Microsoft to import its performance date (i.e. spend, clicks, etc.).  This sync time is for SA3 to push out any missing tracking requirements for a given object seen in your account.  Note, engine performance data by default is automatically synced at midnight 12:00 AM and according to its network's time zone setting.

11. Click SAVE button.

12. Contact Search Operations by emailing [email protected].
